wir hatten wunderbares wetter die woche in princeton daher war ich auch 4 tage bis jetzt beachn und mir schmerzen die oberschenkel vom blocken - koennte etwas schoeneres geben?
tja ... ja ;)
eines abends hat uns Jan (franzmannischer Beacher, mein derzeitiger speedyersatz) zum abendessen eingeladen und uns mit einer koestlichkeit versorgt: Calvados
Kurzform: Calvados ist ein Likoer aus Apfelwein besteht, dessen Aepfel nur bestimmte Sorten aus einer bestimmten Bereich aus der Normandie (Frankreich) sein duerfen.
Langform: englisch deutsch
zum purtrinken sind mir seine 40% bisschen zu stark, aber wenn die eiswuerfel das ganze bisschen wassern ... mhmmmmm
... und da hab ich auch gleich einen cocktailtipp:

3 dashes grenadine
Juice of half a lemon
Glass of VSOP Calvados
Mix above ingredients in a chilled cocktail shaker. Serve in a rocks glass over ice

Saturday at lunch time we arrived in Toronto. first thing was to check in and we got nice rooms on the 22nd floor with a nice view over the city.
Toronto is a nice city, but nothing special. We started
walking around and were lying near to the big lake. after the nap - coffee of course ;)
we were walking all the time - China Town, Financial District, a long the sea side - and our journey ended first in little italy's
jazz festival. good music, good wine, good pizza. everything men need ;)
and as u can see, matthias enjoyed his pizza really much.
after sunset we went back to the CN tower to get a great night view. i was not comparable with Chicago, but it was like - u on a very high point and everything was small and tiny (like from an airplain).
then we split - Matthias and Martin went home and mike and me made a good old "beisltour". starting from the hard rock cafe to a small bier garden. at 3am we were at our beds too.
then breakfeast at a sandwich restaurant and the travel began - 9 hours back - back to home - back to avalon!
that's it. that was my weekend.

Last Friday 1pm four cool guys left Siemens to start their small vacation. time to travel, time 4 Niagara Falls and Toronto on the weekend.
First stop Food Court *lol* we needed something to eat, of course ;).
But now we started our journey.
Second Stop Greenfield, Star bucks. At Siemens we would have our afternoon coffee break, we can't miss that ;) So ... The tiered warriors need some rest and a coffee.
In the afternoon it was time 4 a little something. what did we found? an old timer car show incl. hot dog *jummi* and now go on to a 4h ride ......
And now we are here. ... check out the hotel. very nice for 30 Bucks and the best thing? we
got an free upgrade that was cool. the hotel room was big and everything there, so lets explore the Niagara falls at night.
the walk wasn't very far and it seemed the city is very touristic :) a lot of casinos. but this night we made plenty of pictures in
front of the falls. beautiful at night. and at the nearest point of the falls we got sucking wet. *lol* u should have seen our Munich guy ;)
at midnight we found one bar - HOOTERS - to do something good to ourself s :)
after 2 pitchers of beer and a great lunch was everything done and we decided to end this great day ...
... *knock* *knock* what? *knock* *knock* damn what's up? let's get up and let's ride the maid of the mist. an amazing view in middle of the Niagara falls. beautiful. with the help of the sky tower we could see a nice panorama view of the whole area.
jep it's time to travel again ... to Toronto.

yesterday we had an Bavarian Meal was great. First Matthias and i bought a lot of stuff and much alcohol (beer and cocktails) *jummi*
and then cooking started - 3 long hours of preparing food and waiting and were not able to eat. after some time the people stopped by maria, martin, dunja, schorsch, nikemike, martin (the german), freddy & siv, donna, ...
food was great, cocktails the best of course, the beer like at home ;)
and now? i'm going this weekend to niagara falls and toronto with matthias, martin & nike! *jippi* looks like a lot of fun :)

It's Saturday. I slept long ... was great ... was in the pool ... was great ... i'm board so let's at least something. i reminded my self to a tip of daniel & chris - Einsteins House. So i packed my stuff (cam&pc) and went to princeton.
the funny thing as u can see here, the house is nothing special. 112 mercer street, Princeton, NJ that's it one little house. the first time i passed it, because there is no plate, no museum, nothing. actually there is a museum, but i'll go there another time.
after einsteins research i walk through the beautiful gardens of princteon. terrific.
and i tried to shoot some nice pictures ... i wanna have a SLR :( but i've got some really nice features on my cam. of course it's just playin around and one of u will say, it's just not art - who cares? :p
and of course my travel ended at my fountain with a gooooooooooooooood cup of coffee from starbucks.
funny thing a noticed this guy, sitting and enjoying the fountain.
*jiiiippppppiiiiee* i've got my cam back, so i can start now 2 upload the albums and write sth. about the last weekend. well and where was it? never give your things to friends ;) they put things in their bagpacks *rofl*

erstes wochenende - neue camera - viele fotos (princeton, einsteins haus, birthday party, ...) und moechte bloggen und alben online stellen? und was passiert mir sonntag abend? 5min bevor ich die partylocation verlassen habe, weis ich, das ich die cam noch in den haenden halte und dann ... unauffindbar. mal schaun wo sie auftaucht :)

yesterday i was a guest at a small BBQ party at a real american house. biiiiiiiiiiig pool with watervolleyballnet and a hottube in the front - nice. water was still nice ... even in the dark, why? it was heated and lightened, with changing colors *uffff*
of course we siemens interns try to be nice to the latin au pair girls and that's the reason why got an invitation. nice party, typically american - a lot, no humungous amount of food, and after hamburgers and hot dogs? ice cream of course ... pffff nice.
and then an american nice guy jeff and me put up a tent for the childrens. jep they wanted to sleep outside, well ... that's what they thought ... it started to rain :)
btw. jeff is one of these crazy guys - he saw one huge frogg and well he had to catch it. after some time he really caught it. nice little guy isn't it? ;)
well and now? it's soooo hot in Avalon that i'll go to the pool again. have a nice saturday evening, i will have at a french double birthday party ;)

ok the day started with faxing my application for my master study to "Fachhochschule Oberoeesterreich Campus Hagenberg". Yesterday it didn't worked and the deskguard Doug (yeah like king of queens, nice isn't it?) helped me, but nothing. Jep and then we noticed, that he missunderstood the way i wrote the numbers of the university ;) after that i called Irmi (our FH secretary) and everything was fine so:

some days ago i descide that it would be time to buy a new camera. i was with lisi in washington and we didn't make some digital pictures to show somebody, soooooo ... i descided to buy one. when christan was still here, he helped me with the choise. it's the Canon PowerShot SD750. In europa would this be the canon ixus 75. crazy thing that the names and numbers are completely different in the u.s. and e.u.?

After work i had a great chillout at our community pool. oh boy i love swimming! best thing to get thoughts away from work. and it's wednesday - that means? - of course poker night!
i know the lens flare is fake, but the picture is a real one, of our community page.
poker night was fun. we started with 10 player, payout for the best 3 and i got the 3rd place :) not bad, this means nothing lost nothing won - jep even. alexis one damn frensh never ... NEVER - NNEEEVVVEEERR lost one hand in this game (one hand he played). the worst was a split pot with me ............

kurzfassung der woche:
also christian und daniel, zwei oesterreichische arbeitskollegen und freunde haben vergangenen freitag siemens und uns verlassen. daher wurde natuerlich mo - do gscheit nach oesterreichischer manier durchgefeiert. di kino und bier bei ihnen, mi ivy's + absturz, do haben die beiden bei mir gepennt, fr farewell donats und farewell lunch.
tja leute kommen, leute gehen, das wird wohl das ganze leben lang so bleiben.
tja und jetzt, jetzt will bloss ned weitemachen beim zimmeraufraeumen, mistkuebel auslehren, geschirr waschen und kleidung waschen :) mal schaun was der tag heute noch so bringt. vielleicht schmeiss ich mich ja noch mitn laptop in ein nettes cafe und surf durch die weiten wellen? das wichtigste is auch jedenfall - kan stress
